Children become curious within their environment, curiosity leads to questions which sparks important research and investigation through their play.
At Happy Hearts we support children’s investigation through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), loose parts play, research and questioning. As children are curious and ask many questions, the educators at Happy Hearts support the children through enquiry research. By setting up learning activities that support questions of enquiry encourages children to extended their current knowledge and understanding.
The children at Happy Hearts were so interested in investigating space, to allow the children to continue their enquiry we supplied loose parts such as cardboard boxes, paper plates, foil, buttons, and other such resources. This gave the children the freedom to investigate through a hands-on experience and create their own space machine.
